Chicago Summer Internship Housing, Meals, Transportation, & 24/7 Onsite Staff

Our summer housing facilities in Chicago offer the convenience and comfort necessary for an easy transition into living in the big city. Participants will never feel alone, as they will reside among their entire University of Dreams class who together will explore their new city and experience all our program has to offer. Chicago Housing

Included in the Chicago Program is fantastic downtown housing at Loyola University Chicago which is just steps from the famous Magnificent Mile. This housing facility is a $51 million, 25-story high-rise on Loyola's Water Tower Campus – located in Chicago’s luxurious and accessible Gold Coast neighborhood. Only 3-years-old, this newly-renovated facility enables our participants to:

  • Experience contemporary living in fully furnished apartments
  • Live in the heart of the city at Pearson and Wabash located two blocks west of Michigan Avenue
  • Walk just steps to CTA bus and El train stations
  • Enjoy nearby museums, restaurants, shopping and entertainment

Amenities and Features

  • Fully-furnished bedrooms and common areas
  • A full kitchen, including: refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave
  • 24-hour security staff
  • Study lounge

  • In-house laundry room, dining and workout facilities

All program participants will be living in the same secure building, with one roommate and two suitemates. The accessibility, safety and diverse array of arts and entertainment will make for an easy transition. The building has a 24-hour front desk security guard, checking identification before allowing access into the building.

Meals

Participants will be given a meal card to use for breakfast and dinner. For more information about specifics related to the meal plan, please contact an Enrollment Advisor.

Transportation

Local Chicagoans utilize the public transit system daily to maximize their time. Participants will receive an unlimited-ride metro card, which will be valid for the Elevated Train, as well as the public buses. Our on-site staff will be available to help you get acquainted with the transit system. Additional transportation for weekend activities will be provided.

*Not included in the program is: Transportation to and from the program.

24/7 Onsite Staff Assistance

On-site staff is dedicated to delivering a high-quality experience to enable both your professional and personal growth. Staff members will serve as your program guides, leading you to program events as you become accustomed to the city. They will be available at all times to ensure your summer in the city is as safe as possible.
